NOTD for 8/4/2015: Cupcake Polish

I've got another polish here from the gift I received from my friend Natalie (find her <<HERE>> on Instagram), and this one is definitely a change from my last NOTD!  It's Cupcake Polish Leaf Me Alone.

It's pretty cloudy today, so the holo didn't really come out to play too much, but still.  Look at that color!  Gorgeous grassy green.

Polish Addict toppers and final GIVEAWAY!! reminder

Whew!  The last post!  Seriously, how do you ladies who review do this?

So here it is, the last post for the prize package I contributed to the giveaway at Over The Top Coat.  Head over and enter - you've only got a couple more days before it's all over!!

I decided to do these last two polishes in one post, since it would be easier and we are so close to the giveaway being over.  So read on for Polish Addict Holo Top Coat and Polish Addict 80's Baby.

GOT Polish for 2/6/2014 - Green!

It's another GOT Polish challenge, and I've got a couple of beauties this week.  Just doing a quick browsing on the internet, reviews for both of these popped up in 2009-2010.  I had done a trellis type of design over my ring finger, but I just couldn't cover up this beautiful green holo...

Mish Mash Challenge #22: 3 Colors

Mish Mash Challenge day falls on Christmas this year, so I'm doubling up on Tuesday to get this in.  MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!  The 3 colors fell on a good day...I chose Red, Green and Gold.  My nails on my right hand are finally getting to a length that I feel OK photographing, but they are still short for me.  I hate always having to use my left hand in the photos - it's awkward for me to have to use my right to photograph.

Spotlight Saturday for 11/16/2013

I'M BACK!!!!!!!  Whether or not that is a good or bad thing, well, I'll leave that up to you to decide.

I've got a Spotlight Saturday for you that has me wavering from hate it to love it, and I'm cycling through both extremes pretty quickly.  I'm currently in the LOVE IT swing, so I figured I better write this post now.   (FYI - the photos aren't going to be great today; I explain why further down).
Yes, it is blurry.  But it shows off the AMAZING
holographic goodies in the glitter topper!

Spotlight Saturday for 10/12/2013

Today is neutral day with my manicure.  Grey base polish with a black-and-holo microglitter in a clear base  topper.  It is so sparkly! I apologize for the photos - I took them in direct sun a couple of days ago, and didn't notice until now just how washed out they are.

Yes, you read the title correctly - this is Part 2 of a review post.  And again, these products were purchased by me, so nothing to disclose.

T.I.O.T. (Try It On Tuesday) - 9/3/2013

Another week, and another Try It On Tuesday, sponsored by Gini @ SassyPaints. I've been in a red-orange-bronze kind of mood, and this polish just jumped out at me when I first looked at what to wear.  "You Are The Brute Squad" from LynBDesigns.  Metallic copper and holo glitter....sigh.....

NOTD: Sunday 8/11/13

So the manicure I did for yesterday - that I was planning on wearing for 2 or 3 days - got destroyed in 24 hours.  Here is my replacement.  I LOVE THIS COLOR!  Well, actually, that should read "these colors".  This is two different polishes - one scatter holo and one texture.  Two different brands, but colors matched so well, I had to mix.

THIS PHOTO TAKEN IN DAYLIGHT - OVERCAST.
NO SUNSHINE HERE TODAY.

NOTD: Saturday 8/10/13

Relatively quick post today - I needed a change from my Mish Mash manicure, and had a craving for something neutral.  I have gotten in the habit of doing an accent nail, and today is no different.

I would say this is unusual for me, but lately, I don't have a usual.  Whatever grabs me, I go with.  It's a little more fun not being predictable, isn't it?

Mish Mash Challenge #1: Purple

Hi all!  I have been away for a while...longer than I had anticipated.  I'm in a funk, and not liking anything that goes on my nails.  <<sigh>> I hope this doesn't last too long, especially with the kick-off of Kimber's Amazing Challenge Ladies new challenge.  I have a page of info on it (you can see the tab under my banner), if you are interested.  It's running for 30 weeks, so jump on in!

ABC Challenge - "Y" is for Ya Freak!

Last catch-up post!  Yay!!  So relieved.

Last couple posts detailed state of my hands....yadda yadda.  Long story short - they are in bad shape.  You will see cuticle oil in the photos.  Bad, bad blogger, I know.

ABC Challenge - "W" is for Watch it Shine

Long time everyone, but I am back to being able to post regularly!  The hell that was session B of the Spring semester at school is over, and taking 12 hours along with working full time was not a smart decision.  It was a necessary one, but definitely not smart.  I've got a week off before it starts up all over again, but I won't be working full time any longer, so I can breathe....aaaahhhhhhhh.

ABC Challenge - "H" is for Holographic

This is going to be semi-short and sweet.  I had a lot of different ideas come to me for H, but once I started each one, I discarded.  The Color Club Halo Hues were calling to me...  Black base on all fingers, and each finger has a diagonal tip of color.  OK, "tip" may not be the right word, but you'll get the idea from the photos :).

I took the indoor night pictures because I love the way the holos look with the flash.  Still not a good camera...I may end up going through this whole challenge without one.  This is still just a fun little hobby for me, so a new camera unfortunately is not on the financial radar anytime soon (sigh).

Now for the daylight photos:

Here are the colors I used, and let me tell you there is not one color that I don't LOVE:

The original 6 Halo Hues are (in order of the photo):
     Angel Kiss:  minty green
     Halo-Graphic:  pink
Harp On It:  silver  (this is the only color I did NOT use - ran out of fingers)
     Blue Heaven:  light blue
     Cherubic:  nude/beige
     Cloud Nine:  lilac purple

The new 6 darker Halo Hues are (in order of the photo):
     Over the Moon:  blue
     Miss Bliss:  pink
     Kismet:  lime green
     Cosmic Fate:  orange
     Eternal Beauty:  dark purple
Beyond:  Black  (far and away my FAVORITE)

Again, many thanks to Kimber at Kimber's Lacquer Korner for hosting this weekly challenge.  It is open to anyone - professional or novice (I can attest to that!).  If you would like to join, shoot her a request under the "ABC Challenge" tab on her blog.  And FYI - any attempts to just add your blog to the challenge WILL get you booted off the inlinkz group.  There are eyes watching, and the gatekeeper knows....muah ha ha ha!!!!!

Here are the other ladies participating...take a look at their great submissions for the letter "H".
Until next week!
