I'm squeezing in some easy challenge posts in the middle of my goals to 1) do some home improvement chores and 2) try to stay warm. This is my first contribution to the GOT Polish challenge.
Oh, and this is my 100th Post!...I feel the clouds parting and the angels singing. There is a giveaway in the works, but it will not be the usual. I'm sure you will either like it, or hate it. But, more on that later when I have it more firmed up!
GOT stands for Golden Oldies Thursdays, as you can see in the graphic. Basically, you pull out your 1+ year old polishes, and shine a little spotlight on them for a moment. For the ones I chose this week - well, at least one of them - you'll need a search light. I contacted Maybelline, and one of these has been discontinued since before the turn of the most recent century. I'm pretty sure the second is also discontinued, but their website is being a little bit testy...
Colors used:
I have to say, I wish there was more contrast between the two colors. But they do look like they were meant to go together, don't they?
So, my nails are very rarely ever this short, and rarely ever this uneven. It's not horrible (my middle finger did get beaten up pretty badly), but I've got corners chipped off all over the place, and my thumb is down to the pink. That one was "OUCH! Mother #%&$#@@$%! Son of a %$#@$!"...you get the idea. I by no means have very long nails, but these are just too short. Sigh...I hope they grow fast.
About the polish...I've had these forever, and I still have yet to thin them out. I love challenges like this, because these two have been relegated to the back of a drawer, and they don't belong there! But I have to say, when I was cleaning this up, I remember why they were in the back of the drawer. These blues stain like crazy! You can see some blue left around my cuticles, and it is driving me CRAZY! When I take this off, I'm going to have to take a toothbrush to my fingers.
I feel like I've been all over the place with this post. My brain is going about 1,000 miles a second here, and it's all just pouring out in a disjointed mess. I should stop now before I tangent off on something else today.
If you want to jump in on this challenge, seek out the Crumpet's Nail Tarts group on Facebook.
See ya!

I have New Year's Blues too - stinks to high heaven. Is that the older one of the two?
ReplyDeleteNew Year's Blues is the older one - much older. I pulled out the bottle to smell it after your comment..it does stink, but it's nowhere near as bad as Kleancolor polish, so it didn't even register as strong to me when I used it. Thanks for the comment!
DeleteThey are both really great colours, I want to buy everyone else's nail polishes this week as I am a sucker for a good navy!
