Mish Mash Challenge #12: Flower

Hello everyone! So, I missed last weeks challenge post. I did the manicure, but never got around to taking photos. With the holiday on Monday I got thrown off a little bit, and missed the cutoff to post in the inlinkz group...so, fudge it.

This week's challenge is flower.  I'm not a floral kind of gal...you won't see me sporting tulips or calla lilies.  This topic is way out of my comfort zone.  My artwork skills are seriously lacking, so I decided to do something a little abstract.  And, crazy enough, I kind of like the finished look.

Colors Used (and there were a LOT):

I was originally planning on using pastels for the base colors, but decided on some colors that were a little more saturated.  I matted them out, and did some abstract roses for a tone on tone look.  The texture polish gives it some more interest.  Add some seriously shimmered green for the leaves, and viola!

They don't look like anything but a hot mess close up, but from a little further back, you can see the flowers...you REALLY have to WANT to see the flowers...

I am shaking my head as I type this, but I think I may actually try this again sometime.  And don't forget to take a sneak peek at everyone else flowers for this week!

See ya!
Liz
