Polish Addict Bikini Bottom and GIVEAWAY!! reminder

I've got another polish for you today...Polish Addict Bikini Bottom.  I love the name of  this one!  This is part of the prize pack I donated in the big giveaway that Natalie has got going on at Over The Top Coat.   There's still plenty of time, so head on over and enter!!

Sunshine was abundant today in Chicago, and what better than to wear a nice bright yellow?

Here is the full prize pack I'm giving away:

PRIZE IS:  all 8 polishes shown, but in the 7ml mini size.
6 colors from the summer NEON collection, Holo topcoat,
and 80's Baby neon glitter topper.

I've already shown Lime Light (green), Barbie Code (pink), Caution (orange), and Sea Witch (purple).  So let's move on to this bright yellow.  This is Polish Addict Bikini Bottom.

Blurry to show glitter.

First, this is another sheer polish...I have an issue with VNL, but after swatching this collection so far, I'm less and less bothered by it.  This is 3 coats of polish.  I will still probably wear undies on these, but photos are without undies or base coats, and top coats are used where noted.   I wanted you to get an idea of the polish all on its lonesome.

Let me say this too - I had put this polish on Monday, in the hopes that I would be able to photograph and blog then, but Chicago weather did not cooperate.  Dark, dreary, overcast, muggy and HOT were on the menu for Monday and Tuesday, so this manicure is in day 3.  I think it still looks pretty damn good, but if you see something I don't, that's why.  I've been doing 3 coats on all my swatches, and didn't want to change from that now.  So, enough writing, right?

These photos are 3 coats, no top coat.

I was outside in some pretty gusty winds trying to get these photos, and I completely forgot to do the side by side matte to glossy comparisons that I've been doing.  SORRY!

These photos are with top coat:

Outside - full sun

Inside - indirect natural light
Another winner, I think.  Just a couple more posts to get this full set out there.  I've got another sunny day tomorrow before the rain is supposed to move back in for the weekend, so I'm going to try to get the last three swatched.  See ya!

Liz

  1. A very pretty yellow but the vnl would probably bother me, specially after three coats.
