First, let me say that my original idea for the letter U and letter V both tied in together. But that was before I looked at the calendar, and realized that the letter U fell right after Memorial Day weekend. So my inspiration for V started with the letter U...who cares, right? Here's the finished look, and yes, I know my cuticles look awful. There is a lot of oil glare that wasn't there IRL, and they look bad in these photos. But you are only here to see the polish, right?
As much as I like the glitter topper, I LOVE!!! how the base underneath came out. I almost didn't want to cover it up!
And here is my inspiration that started this. The animated movie UP. This is pretty much what I was going to recreate on my nails for U, but I loved the shading of the sky in the background:
So, Venus In The Sky is a glitter topper from Frankenstain Nail Polish. It's got blue, teal, and some glitter that looks to be a VERY pale green, along with silver. All sorts of shapes, but no big chunkies.
The polishes used:
Orly French Tip line - White Tips
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure - Water Color (My absolute FAVORITE blue right now)
China Glaze - Bahamian Escape
Studio M - Whose That Girl (spelling is from the bottle...)
Frankenstain Nail Polish - Venus In The Sky
And I had to include a photo of my cat...a week ago Tuesday she went in to the hospital with a severe case of feline pancreatitis. There were doubts whether or not she would make it. I did a previous post about it, and the pictures didn't really show just exactly how sick she was. But the animal hospital performed a miracle...she still has a couple issues that need to be monitored very closely; the hope is that these problems are all caused from the pancreatitis being so severe. But I picked her up from the hospital on Friday evening about 9pm, and this photo is from Sunday. Today, (Tuesday) she looks even better than she does here.
